🐶 A Little Bit About Us 🐾

We’re based out of Minnesota ❄️ — born and raised here (plus a long stint in Houston Texas) and yes, we freeze our butts off every winter! The hubby loves it, but I am counting down the days until we can become official snowbirds ☀️🐦.

🏗️ One of us is blue-collar through and through with a background in Water & Sewer Infrastructure and operating heavy machinery. The other historically in marketing & business management, but currently a Behavior Modification Practitioner with degrees in Law Enforcement, A.S. and a (almost complete) forensic and psychology focused Bachelors of Science in Social Work; also a handful of years owning a family restaurant prior to Covid. 🍽️💙

🚙 We love to travel and always bring our dogs along for the ride 🚙🐕 — I may have a small magnet collection obsession from every state we visit! ✨

🐕🦺 Our Pack

We’ve always been animal lovers — but especially dog people! 🐶 Everyone in our family has their own dog (most have dogs instead of kids 😂). There's a few cats in the mix, and we even have an aquatic turtle named Davey, who’s been with us for over a decade! 🐢💦

Our two White German Shepherds, Leona & Yogi, are the heart and soul of our pack 🤍🐾. Leona is the alpha (I won't say where she got that from 😉) so that makes Yogi the giant goofball... the Jeff, if you will! We also have a rescue, Skylar, she's a Corgi-Husky mix 🐺 who might actually outdo the rest in shedding... and I didn't think that was possible! We also JUST adopted a new puppy! She's a black German Shepherd we named Betty. 

Our daughter’s dog, Evie, is a spoiled King Charles Cocker Spaniel 👑 who thinks she’s a German Shepherd (thanks to Leona’s influence). Our oldest boys are caring for their very senior-aged English Bulldog, named Rocky, who is now way past his prime and as stubborn as ever. 🐶 Over the years, we’ve had to say goodbye to a few beloved pups — Duke (Golden Retriever), Watson (Ridgeback), Odin (Lab), and Ravyn (Bulldog, Rocky’s brother). 🐾

🤍 My love for White German Shepherds runs deep though, since childhood with my best friend, Snowy. 🤍

💛 Why We Do What We Do 🐾

We’re not breeders — we just love our fur-babies and embrace the dog hair everywhere lifestyle 🐾🌀 (thank goodness for air purifiers and robot vacuums! 😅).

You know that saying, “Love what you do, and you’ll never work a day in your life”? That’s the founding idea behind our business. We strive to maintain quality and durability with our functional dog gear that we are proud to use ourselves and enjoy providing to other families. I'm overly picky, so if we won't use it, then we won't sell it. 

🌀 At the beginning, we tested out several manufacturers and spent many months preparing for our launch. We started with our basic needs of harnesses, collars, and leashes, plus our favorite dog goggles- then are continuously adding on from there. We have developed a relationship with three main manufacturers (two in textiles and one in plastics) that we trust to meet our expectations; we spend more for quality stitching, durable fabrics, and the little extras like cord keepers, padded handles, and strong metal accessories- plus we require random quality checks. All for the sake of higher quality to differentiate from knock-offs and have a lasting, quality product. 

Every LJM product is finished, packaged, and shipped from us here in Minnesota. ✨
